Lyon County officials are alerting the public about a vegetable giveaway Thursday.
Judge-Executive Wade White states they will be giving out several different types of vegetables at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville.
He adds the produce was purchased through funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and is available to the public free of charge.
Judge White explains the produce is available to everyone in the area and is also encouraging people to pick up boxes and deliver produce to those who may not be able to get it themselves.
The giveaway will be held at the Lyon Convention Center at the Lee S. Jones Park, which is located off of Highway 93 in Eddyville.
