SAN FRANCISCO – The Produce Marketing Association (PMA) and the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) are hosting a two-part webinar diving into the future of self-serve salad and hot bars at retail in COVID-19 world on July 30 at 2 p.m. EST.
The pandemic brought an immediate stop to salad and hot bar use in retail stores due to concern of shoppers handling shared utensils and breathing on or around raw products. The webinar will explore how retailers can creatively use their salad and hot bars that are no longer being used for their original purpose.
A panel of retailers will discuss the future of salad and hot bars from equipment issues to safety and labor. The webinar will also reveal results of an industrywide survey on the issue, and the full report will be released after the webinar the full report will be released.
