Thanks to a collaboration between the Southern Queensland Export Hub, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and local producer, Qualipac, locally produced broccoli is ready to take to the skies. The broccoli from Inglewood company Qualipac is destined for the major retailers in Singapore.

Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise Food and Agriculture Export Manager, Justin Heaven: “The collaboration was targeted at increasing the export of regional produce through Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport.”

"There are many opportunities to get Australian produce into Singapore and we encourage exporters to utilise the Wellcamp Airport, with assistance from IFAM, to ensure we create a long term freight route into Singapore," said Mr Heaven.

This collaboration between TSBE, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Austrade, Qualipac and a Singapore-based importer was key to securing this large shipment of 1824 kilograms of broccoli.
