Poland is the EU's leading cucumber supplier, the Polish Development Fund wrote on Twitter on Monday, quoting Eurostat figures.

According to Eurostat, cucumber fields accounted for 9,900 hectares of Poland's farmland in 2019. Second was Spain (7,700 hectares), followed by Romania (6,900 hectares).

The Polish Development Fund wrote that Poland has been the EU's chief cucumber producer since 2000.
