Fast-casual restaurant Chopt Creative Salad Co. has opened its fifth spot in New Jersey.

The salad shop officially opened Wednesday morning in Montvale, located at 52 Farm View — part of The Shoppes at DePiero Farm shopping center located just off Exit 172 on the Garden State Parkway.

Other retailers in the shopping center include Wegmans, Starbucks, Chipotle and Ulta Beauty.

Chopt is known for its build-your-own-salads. The menu also includes limited-time, seasonal options inspired by specific locations. Currently, salads such as “Spicy Sonoma Caesar,” “Sweet & Spicy Koreatown Bowl” and the “Cali Cauliflower Salad” are offered as part of a Destination California promotion.

Last year, Chopt opened a spot at The Outlets at Bergen Town Center in Paramus. Its other locations in New Jersey are in Princeton, Florham Park and New Providence.

The company was founded in New York in 2001.
