How 'black-ish' sparked curiosity about Darien and salad forks - The Advocate

"Birthplace of the salad fork." "Where was the salad fork invented?" "History of types of forks." "Evolution of the fork." "History of table settings."

These are all search terms that this reporter eagerly typed into Google in hopes of quickly finding out if Darien, Conn. is, in fact, where the wider version of the four-tined eating instrument was born. All signs point to "no."

Rather than get into a long history of the fork (which this reporter could now do), she will instead explain what this has to do with the ABC sitcom "black-ish," starring Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. The answer here is: very little, but not nothing.
