Dole Fresh Vegetables has recalled a single lot of its Endless Summer Salad Kit because it may have the wrong dressing and topping pack, which includes allergens not listed on the label.
Dole said it is possible that the kit contains fish and eggs - both allergens.
“The dressing and topping kit (masterpack) designed for a different Dole product was unintentionally used during a portion of the production of the salad,” according to an announcement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
No illnesses have been reported but people who are allergic to or sensitive to eggs or fish could have a life-threatening allergic reaction.
The salad kids were distributed in Pennsylvania as well as Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
