Dole salad kit recalled for possible undeclared allergens - 105.3 The Fan

Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of one of their prepared salad kits.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, Dole's Endless Summer Salad Kit has been recalled for possibly containing undeclared allergens.

During the production of the salads, the dressing and topping kit designed for one the company’s other products was unintentionally used in the Endless Summer Salad. The product may contain fish and eggs, which are two of the FDA’s “big eight” allergens.

While no illnesses have been reported, individuals with fish or egg allergies may have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they were to consume the product.

The impacted product has a "best if used by" date, located in the upper right corner of the salad bag, of January 26, 2021. The lot code, also located in the upper right corner, is B00912A orB00912B.

The UPC code, located in the bottom right corner of the bag, is 0-71430-01073-0.

The products were distributed in the following 17 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.

Anyone in possession of the impacted products are advised to not consume any of it and discard promptly.

No other Dole products are included in the recall.
