Alabama-baed Chicken Salad Chick has signed a five-unit development deal in Florida for the Fort Myers and Naples areas, which will grow its statewide presence to 30 restaurants, according to a company press release. Development is underway with openings in Ocala (4720 S.W. College Road) and Gainesville (4062 Plaza Blvd., Suite 20) — both set to debut in Q2. Locations in Wellington and Brooksville will open in Q3, and one in Wesley Chapel will open by year's end.
The nearly 200-unit brand is also looking to expand to Cocoa Beach, Palm Bay, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Weston and Hollandale Beach.
"The state of Florida has proven itself as a successful market for Chicken Salad Chick, with over 25 locations open and plans for 30 restaurants to be in operation by the end of 2021," CEO Scott Deviney said in the release. "Naples and Fort Myers are areas with promising potential due to their large family-centered communities and prime locations for vacation. We're more than humbled to welcome our new owners to our franchise family, and look forward to seeing their tremendous success."
Chicken Salad Chick plans to add 50 units per year to bolster its goal of 500 locations by 2025.
