Kennywood hosts job fair, offers free Potato Patch fries to applicants

Amid growing demands for more workers, Kennywood is hosting a job fair with free Potato Patch fries as an incentive Monday, June 7.The job fair will be held at the Parkside Café from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Applicants can apply for positions at Kennywood, Sandcastle or Idlewild. Along with Potato Patch fries, applicants will receive complimentary cotton candy and a few rounds of the park's midway games. Pay rates for Food & Beverage and Lifeguards staff starts at $14 and $15 an hour, respectively. Pay rates for high school grads are now at least $13 an hour at Kennywood, Sandcastle and Idlewild & SoakZone in Ligonier.Kennywood will begin daily operations on Wednesday, June 9, with Sandcastle following on June 12 and Idlewild on June 17. Those interested can apply online at the park of their choice: Kennywood, Sandcastle or Idlewild, or stop at the job fair.
